WhatsApp Let’s You Skip Video Forward & Backward By Double Tap On Screen

WhatsApp is rolling out a latest beta update for enhancing the users’ watching video experience. With this new update the brand is offering new features for the Android users to skip the videos forward and backward up to 10 seconds in one time. However the users are already familiar with this skip forward & backward scheme. Let’s take a close look at this beta update.

WhatsApp New Beta Update: Let’s You Skip Forward & Backward Video

WhatsApp is delivering a new beta update, which has arrived with the identification build number which is v2.23.24.6, so one can easily find out the update with this version number. However for now the company rolled out this update only for some of the lucky beta testers. The interested users can get it through the Google Play Beta Program. It is expected that soon the brand will roll out this feature widely.

With this new video skipping feature, the users are getting the ability to skip the video and easily navigate within videos they receive or send. Basically by this feature, the users by double tapping on the video screen can skip the video for 10 seconds. Clicking on the left side, the video screen will skip 10 seconds backward and while clicking on the right side the video will skip forward.

Actually this feature similarly works how it works on YouTube. So the skip video feature is not new to know, but on WhatsApp there is a lack of this feature, and finally the company is all set to deliver this feature. With this feature the users can easily without even going to progress bar navigate within videos they have received or send. Now the users don’t have to do extra touches, just double tap on the screen and the video gets skipped. This feature will save time and add another layer of convenience.

By this feature WhatsApp is making it easier to interact with video content shared on the app. As mentioned above, for now the update is only available for some beta testers, and will soon roll out widely.
