The US chip designer ‘Qualcomm’ is going to introduce its forthcoming SoC in the form of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. This is being speculated by a well-known tipster, Digital Chat Station, who states that the specifications of Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, with the model number SM7550.
Qualcomm’s forthcoming mid-range chip is expected to be made on TSMC’s 4nm process, which might boast 1 prime core clocked at 2.63GHz, 3 performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz, and 4 efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz, additionally Adreno 720 GPU.
It is also expected that the first mid-range smartphone with the SoC will be from Xiaomi’s Redmi sub-brand, and it might be released in the first quarter of 2024. Whether the phone is launching globally or in the Chinese market. This is being speculated by a post on X, formerly Twitter, shared by @heyitsyogesh, which states;
“Redmi will likely be the launch partner again with a Q1’24 release.”
However, as compared to the Snapdragon 8 series, the Snapdragon 7 series does not find many takers maybe it’s due to its pricing. The pricing of Qualcomm makes MediaTek’s delivery look profit-making, especially for mid-range smartphones, where the purchasers are open to settling on certain aspects of the smartphones.
