Qualcomm Launches Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2: A Powerful Chipset for Google and Samsung Devices

With the acceleration in advancements and technology, the most popular chipmaker, Qualcomm, is here with yet another advanced and next-gen chip, the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2, which is a relevant successor to the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chip, announced in September last year.

With that, Qualcomm has made a close partnership with Google and Samsung, introducing an excellent revolutionary second-generation Snapdragon XR2+ chip, whereas the main focus of the brand is to offer a more realistic and detailed technology experience.

The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipsets seamlessly support up to 4.3K per eye resolution at 90fps, which will allow users to have excellently clear and crisp details of visuals for examples like room-based screens, life-sized overlays, and virtual desktops, respectively. Along with that, it can seamlessly support up to a 15% increased GPU frequency and a 20% increment within the CPU frequency, and it also supports 12+ concurrent cameras.

On the flip side, other distinctive features include 2.5x GPU performance and 50% GPU power efficiency, 8x better AI performance, an MR and VR reference platform, 12ms full-color video see-through support, next-gen Spectra ISP, and Wi-Fi 7 support, respectively.

With the partnership with the two most popular and big brands, Google and Samsung, Qualcomm prominently focuses on bringing the most prominent and intuitive revolution within the mobile industry, which will offer new capabilities and advancements through the latest Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipsets.

Currently, over 5 OEMs are working on incorporating the latest Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 into their smartphones, as stated by Qualcomm. Along with Google and Samsung, other partners include Immersed, HTC Vive, and Play for Dream.
