Motorola launched the Motorola Edge 40 Pro, Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, Motorola Razr, Moto G53, Moto G53s, and Moto G23 in 2023, which were quite successful, and this year, in 2024, the company launched its first product in India as Moto G34 5G, already launched in China on Christmas last year.
As for the display, the device sports a 6.5-inch centered punch-hole display with Panda Glass protection. The panel offers an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Also, it is IP52 rated for dust and water resistance.
The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC. The chipset is paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. As for software, it runs on the latest Android 14, with an upgrade to Android 15 and three years of security patches.
The phone sports a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 50 MP primary sensor and a 2 MP macro snapper, along with an LED flash, and there is a 16 MP selfie camera in its front.
Other features of the device include Dolby Atmos supported and dual stereo speakers, a micro SD card slot, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and sensors like accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, SAR sensor, hub sensor,e- e-compass, and proximity sensors. The connectivity options include 5G, WiFi, USB Type-C port, etc.
The smartphone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and face unlock for security, and the most important feature is that the smartphone draws power from a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 18 W or 20 W charging.
Motorola G34 5G will be available in India at a price of Rs 10,999 ($130) for 4GB + 128 GB and Rs 11,999 ($145) for 8 GB + 128 GB. This handset has a plastic build with a vegan leather finish at the back. It is available in Ice Blue, Charcoal Black, and Ocean Green options. It will be sold on Flipkart and major retail stores starting from January 17.
