How Many Software Updates Will OPPO Find X7 Ultra Get?

Like several other brands, OPPO too has its own software update policy, according to which the brand decides to provide major OS updates and security updates to its devices. OPPO’s flagship devices are committed to receiving four major OS updates and five years of security patches for their recent devices that were launched in 2023 or later, while the mid-range devices are limited to getting two major OS updates with four years of security patches, respectively.

In contrast, the OPPO Find X7 Ultra, which is the latest smartphone by the brand, was launched just a month ago. The brand has incorporated several interesting and incredible features within the device, but simultaneously, it’s important to note that how many software updates will the new Find X7 Ultra be eligible to get? As the software updates are equally important for the proper functioning of the device and significantly increasing its lifespan for a year or two.

Considering the software update policy, the latest OPPO Find X7 Ultra, which comes within the brand’s flagship category and is the recent launch, will get 4 major OS updates and 5 years of security patch updates, respectively. In contrast, it’s highly commendable to see that the brands, including OPPO, are considering offering an increased software commitment to their devices.

Since the Find X7 Ultra launched with Android 14-based ColorOS 14, out of the box, it will receive 4 major OS updates until Android 18, while the device is eligible to get 5 years of security patches until 2029, respectively. So, you don’t have to worry about the device’s functionality for its whole shelf life, at least!
