How Many Software Updates will Motorola Edge 50 Pro 5G get?

Software updates refresh the device’s UI and bring some significant improvements that allow users to keep their phone for at least an additional year or two. Simultaneously, some Android manufacturers take the software updates seriously, so they have proper software update policies with Samsung and Google leading from the front for their respective Android phones, while on the flip side, some big names like Motorola don’t seem to offer long-term software updates. However, things have changed with the arrival of its Edge lineup. With that, how many software updates will the latest Motorola Edge 50 Pro get?

The majority of Motorola phones are bound to receive two software updates, but the brand changed its software update policy in 2022 and then again confirmed that the flagship phones will be offered three generations of software updates and four years of security patch updates, including the Edge lineup, while the latest Motorola Edge 50 Pro 5G is no different. 

Since the phone comes with Android 14 out of the box, the latest Motorola Edge 50 Pro 5G will get 3 generations of software updates until Android 17, while the device will receive its security patches for 4 years until 2028, respectively.
