The great Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, is currently busy rolling out the newly launched Xiaomi HyperOS update to all of its eligible devices. The latest firmware update to the Xiaomi ecosystem brings a slew of new features and improvements that will enhance the user experience. Simultaneously, a large number of devices have been significantly lined up to get the new HyperOS update. With that, it’s officially confirmed that the older models in the Xiaomi Mi 10 lineup will also receive the latest Xiaomi HyperOS update very soon.
It’s been great news for the Xiaomi Mi 10 owners, as Xiaomi has officially revealed that the older Mi model is going to receive the latest update. Zhang Guoquan, who is the director of Xiaomi’s mobile system software department, has shared the information that the Xiaomi Mi 10 series, including the Mi 10, Mi 10 PRO, and Mi 10 Ultra, is eligible to get the new Xiaomi HyperOS update and will receive the update in the month of April. However, the brand’s executive has not specified whether the release is for all the Mi 10 series owners or is just limited to some beta testers only.
Simultaneously, the 2022 Xiaomi Mi 10 series, including the Mi 10, Mi 10 PRO, and Mi 10 Ultra, were committed to three generations of software updates, while they have already received their third OS update in the form of Android 13-based MIUI 14 out of the box. Also, the HyperOS update will act as the fourth OS update for Mi 10 and 10 Pro, whereas it’s going to be the third OS update for Mi 10 Ultra.
It’s important to note that the majority of older Xiaomi devices are running on Android 13, including the Xiaomi Mi 10 lineup; hence, they will not receive Android 14, and their HyperOS update will be based on Android 13.
