WhatsApp To Automatically Share Photos and Videos In The User’s Preferred Media Quality

WhatsApp has become the most popular instant messaging application, bringing some of the best and most eye-catching features to its users. In the series of new features and updates, it’s been a while since WhatsApp introduced a new feature, allowing users to choose their media upload quality among standard and HD quality. Similarly, this Meta-owned application will now allow users to automatically send their photos and videos in their preferred media quality.

With the ability to choose the media upload quality, users can select from standard as well as higher quality for sending or uploading their photos and videos, respectively. The standard quality option allows users to share their media faster but smaller in size with not-so-perfect details, while the high quality option makes sure that the media is shared in higher quality with every detail. WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.7.17 update is rolling out a new capability that will manage the media upload quality automatically by remembering users’s preferences.

Taking the user’s convenience a step further, the new capability will remember the user’s priority of sharing media over higher quality while offering the flexibility to the users that they can adjust the media upload quality for all their photos and videos so that their media could be shared in higher quality along with much more details. Moreover, WhatsApp will remember the last choice of the users in case they opt to manually adjust their media upload quality and will automatically apply the changes to every media shared, eliminating the need to manually adjust the quality of their photos and videos.

However, this new capability to manage the media upload quality is currently rolling out for some beta testers through the latest update of WhatsApp beta for Android, and it’s soon going to be available for more users over the coming days.
