Google is Shutting Down the Podcast App from April 2

Google is currently releasing new features for Pixel devices. On the other hand, we have received news that Google is shutting down the Podcast app from April 2, which its shut down was announced last year in September 2023. This podcast app was very popular, with more than 500 million downloads worldwide.

The company has collaborated with YouTube Music as an alternative, and Google is also encouraging its listeners to migrate to YouTube Music. In addition to audio and video content, this app will also provide a lot more content for your podcasts.

Apart from this, the company has also issued several instructions to transfer you. If you are a member of Google Podcasts, your subscription will not be lost, and you can also transfer it to YouTube Music. To use this, you will have to follow some steps, which are given below –

First, open the podcasts app and tap “Export Subscriptions,” then tap Export under ‘Export to YouTube Music’. Next, open the YouTube Music app, select the things you want, like “Transfer”, “continue,” and finally, “Go to Library” to complete the transfer. This transfer may take some time.

Google Podcasts has some great features, especially the free service. In this, podcasters can host their shows on the platform by submitting their RSS feed to Google through their Podcasts. It has a simple user interface that makes it easy for anyone to find and listen to podcasts, and with this you can also avail music as per your wish.
