OxygenOS 15: Expected Features and Supported OnePlus Devices

OnePlus has always ensured to incorporate some of the best yet most useful customizations within its custom Android skin, OxygenOS. This significantly contributes to delivering a much more advanced and enhanced Android experience with OxygenOS. OnePlus’ has successfully concluded the rollout process of its current OxygenOS 14 to all of its eligible devices, which brought a wide range of new and impressive features that significantly caught users’s attention in other ways. With that, it’s time for OnePlus’ next and upcoming Android skin, OxygenOS 15, to follow the same. In contrast, numerous OnePlus enthusiasts have been wondering whether their OnePlus phone is eligible to get the upcoming OxygenOS 15 and what its expected features are.

As soon as Google began working on its next Android operating system, Android 15, under the hood, OnePlus probably started developing the next customizable OxygenOS 15, which certainly follows a long series of leaks and rumors regarding the upcoming OxygenOS 15. However, as nothing can be perfectly told at this point in time, we can only expect some new features and other essential enhancements that are not included within OxygenOS 14.

Although it’s too early to predict any feature regarding OxygenOS 15, as the Android 15 is running in its early stages of developer previews, OnePlus has not given any statement, which is based on the launch of OxygenOS 15, but it’s highly possible that some newest and much-needed feature additions will be made in order to make the OS highly interactive. With that in mind, read on! Here are some more impressive features that could make their way to OxygenOS 15.

OxygenOS 15 Expected Features:

When using social media applications, camera performance improves:

With OxygenOS 15, OnePlus might improve the camera performance within OxygenOS and its phones so that users can capture high-quality pictures and videos directly from the in-app cameras, as several other brands, including Samsung, allow their Galaxy devices to quickly capture high-end photos and videos from their in-app cameras.

More lock screen customization options:

Although OxygenOS 14 significantly brought certain customizations to the lock screen, including fonts, widgets, and more, Now, with the next OxygenOS iteration, OnePlus could introduce some more lock screen customization options, tailored to a much more advanced lock screen experience.

There is a separate Quick Settings panel and Notification Shade.

Like other brands, including Apple, which offers a separate Quick Settings panel and Notification Shade that offers much more convenience to the users, iPhone users can easily access their phone’s Control panel by swiping down from the top right corner, while swiping down from the top left corner takes them to the Notification panel. Now, Google should take charge of this capability and work on implementing it for Android phones as well. Also, OnePlus could think of bringing this capability to its phones with the upcoming OxygenOS 15. However, this feature may not appeal to everyone.

Five rows of support within the app drawer:

OxygenOS 15 could support five rows within the app drawer, allowing users to get all their applications arranged within a clean yet sophisticated UI. In contrast, OnePlus has added this capability to some older OxygenOS versions but later removed it from other upcoming updates. Well, the brand should re-think and implement this capability again.

Better animations and transitions in the UI:

Animations and transitions should be very consistent and have a sheer amount of perfection. Whether opening or closing an application or scrolling your social media feed, users could experience a much more smooth and fast animation or scrolling experience, while OnePlus could enhance this capability with its next-generation OxygenOS 15 version.
