Android Auto’s Settings Revamp is Still on Hold Since 2022; It never actually Rolled out

Google’s smart driving companion, Android Auto, has changed a lot over the years, introducing new features and enhancements. Since then, Google has offered a slew of changes within Android Auto. Unfortunately, the settings menu is still due for a significant change, though.

Android Auto, Google’s most popular and widely used intelligent driving companion, offers the most interesting features and seamlessly connects Android phones to the car’s dashboard so that one can focus on the road while driving. For years, Android Auto has undergone some major yet much-needed changes, including showing all the useful information at a glance. However, the company hasn’t done anything to change the Android Auto settings menu.

The first-ever revamp of Android Auto’s settings menu took place in 2022, spotted with the Android v7.5 build version, but it never actually rolled out. This revamped settings menu design supports dynamic colors, dark mode, and material design for the entire settings page. Now Android Auto is running on the latest version, v11.7, but the new setting menu redesign hasn’t taken place.

The Settings page of Android Auto feels outdated, as Google has not made any significant changes in years. On the flip side, it’s unclear why Google has kept the redesign of Android Auto’s settings menu on hold, but hopefully, the company will address this point and come up with some significant tweaks for the redesign soon.
