Android Auto Is Not Supporting WhatsApp Messages For Some Users

Google’s smart driving companion, Android Auto, allows users to have a safe driving experience, as it seamlessly connects the Android phone to the car’s dashboard so that the user can only focus on the road while driving. It sports a bunch of interesting yet useful features, with the major highlight being the ability to send or reply to messages from certain messaging apps on your Android phone. Unfortunately, several users have reported that their Android Auto does not support WhatsApp.

Android Auto does not support WhatsApp Messages

Android Auto is flexible enough to seamlessly integrate several messaging applications, including Google Messages, WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, and more. This allows Android Auto users to seamlessly send or reply to all incoming messages from these apps with the help of Google Assistant. However, several users have reported that their Android Auto does not support WhatsApp.

According to the report shared on Reddit, Android Auto was unable to send WhatsApp messages, although Google Assistant can still read aloud all the incoming messages. Only WhatsApp was not working, as the users were unable to send or reply to their incoming messages. This new issue doesn’t seem to be part of the Android Auto update; rather, it is more likely related to WhatsApp’s recent update.

However, Google has yet to acknowledge this issue, so nothing can be said at this point as to when the problem will be solved. Also, only some Android Auto users are significantly dealing with WhatsApp not supporting issues, so it can’t be assumed whether the issue is widespread or not.
