The latest Android 15 Beta Developer Preview Program is Now Live for Vivo X100 and iQOO 12

Google is expanding the latest Android 15 Developer Preview program outside the Pixel ecosystem. Several Android partners have already joined the newest program by significantly distributing the new Android 15 Beta 1 build to their devices. Meanwhile, Vivo is also offering developers a chance to test their apps on Vivo X100 and iQOO 12 devices through the new Android 15 (Beta) Developer Preview Program.

The new Android 15 Beta 1 build to the Vivo X100 is currently available in several regions, including Malaysia, Thailand, HongKong, Taiwan, India, and Kazakhstan, while the iQOO 12 owners in Thailand, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia are currently receiving the latest build. However, it’s important to note that the new Android 15 build is still running in the beta phase and has arrived with plenty of bugs and other instabilities. At the same time, installing this latest release on your primary phone is not recommended

Known issues

Meanwhile, as the latest Android 15 build is in the beta phase, some applications and functions might not work properly as expected; moreover, here are some known issues listed below:

For Vivo X100

  • Notification content is cropped in the notification tray
  • The fingerprint sensor indicator (white) is overlapped with an unlocking icon (also white)
  • Compatibility issues with certain third-party apps
  • Certain features in Settings cannot be used
  • Abnormal UI display on certain interfaces

For iQOO 12

  • If Camera crashes after the upgrade, try rebooting to restore it
  • Compatibility issues with certain third-party apps
  • Certain features in Settings cannot be used
  • NFC is temporarily not supported
  • Abnormal UI display on certain interfaces

Here’s how to upgrade to the latest Android 15 Beta 1 program, 

  • First, download the Android 15 Beta Program firmware by visiting the page
  • Then go to Settings >> Software updates >> icon at the top right corner >> Trial version >> follow the on-screen prompts to enrol.
