Google’s New Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.2 build is All About Stability and Connectivity Fixes, Starts Rolling Out to Pixels

Google is currently on a roll with Android 15 beta updates, as till now, the company has dropped two beta builds, gradually moving closer to its stable release. Meanwhile, after releasing the latest beta version of Android 15 build, Google significantly dropped a new update within its Android 14 QPR3 Beta program, the Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.2 for its Pixel phones. 


The new Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.2 build brings stability and connectivity fixes:

Moving a step closer, Google has started rolling out the latest Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.2 build to its selected Pixel models that comes with AP21.240305.006 build version and carries the newest May 2024 security patch level along with the Google Play Services version that has now moved to 24.06.16 build. Meanwhile, it’s expected that this QPR build is expected to hit its stable channel somewhere in June 2024 in the form of the next Pixel Feature Drop. 

The latest Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.2 update to the Pixel devices has significantly arrived with certain fixes that are causing mobile data connection to drop, even when the phone is showing strong cellular signals. In addition, the update further fixes the issues that were eventually affecting the overall system stability and connectivity.

Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.2 (May 2024)

This minor update to Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2 includes the following fixes:

  • Fixed issues that sometimes caused mobile data connections to drop, even when the device was receiving a strong cellular signal. (Issue #322380000, Issue #315328193, Issue #318593420, Issue #327884305)
  • Fixed various other issues that were impacting system stability and connectivity.

Moreover, Google has started releasing the latest Android 14 QPR3 Beta 2.2 update to all of its selected Pixel models that are listed below. Also, it’s important to note that all the eligible Pixel models enrolled in the Android Beta for Pixel program who have not updated to the Android 15 Beta will be receiving this latest QPR3 Beta 2.2 update through OTA.
