Xiaomi has decided to provide some of the high-end features and enhancements through its software update policy. Whereas, the brand has made a commitment, offering three major OS updates with four years of security patch updates to its devices coming within the mid-range category. 

Although the POCO X6 will get a similar update length as mentioned above, clarifying that the device will receive three Major OS updates with four years of security patches. Hence, coming with Android 13-based MIUI 14, out of the box, the X6 5G is eligible to receive the latest features and enhancements up to Android 16 with an additional year of security patch support.
