The latest PUBG Mobile July Update is here, and with it come to some huge changes for one of the world’s most popular games. The biggest new addition is an entire map, called Livik. The Nordic-inspired map is exclusive to PUBG Mobile, and it’s playable right away despite officially still being in beta.
1. New Map, Livik
In this update, we will welcome a new map with a small size but varying battle zones. The map is called Livik. Livik is built for an intense battle where only 52 players can join the session and the playing time is estimated to be 15 minutes.
Although the map is introduced in this month’s update, Livik is still in the beta phase — meaning several changes may be implemented in the future, including adding new buildings to make the battle more exciting in this map.
2. Monster Truck
The Second new feature added from this update is the new and massive vehicle called Monster Truck. Monster Truck is a four-wheeler and seems to be plated in steel. Looking at its size, the vehicle may have an above-average HP — meaning it can take more bullets and more difficult to destroy.
3. Exclusive Weapon P90 and MK12
Besides adding a new Livik map, this update also introduced two new weapons P90 and MK12. Fyi, P90 is a sub-machine gun that was initially available only in the Arena, but now you can find the gun in the battle royale mode if you are playing in Livik.
4. Spark the Flame Mode
The flame mode is available for the classic mode in Eraangel and Miramar. The player will get the chance to enter this mode after choosing a map. Spark the Flame will have several statues that will grant you a supply.
- Small Statue: Burns up after interaction. Drops supplies and event items after burning;
- Giant Statue: Has multiple construction stages that change as the themed event progresses. It burns in the final stage;
- Camp Statue: There are tents around the statue. Enter them to search for supplies.
5. Ancient Secret
. Ancient Temple
Large, major building with a two-story structure. It initially sits on the ground, but it starts to float in the air after a fixed period of time and moves slowly with the play zone.
2. Slate puzzle
An interactive puzzle made up of ancient slates.
3. Boss fight
Players who make it to the sealed room on the second floor of the Ancient Secret can challenge the boss of the temple and win great rewards.
4. Small Ruins
Small, randomly-appearing ruins with crates and puzzles.
5. Season Warm-up Event Gameplay
At the end of Season 13, a season warm-up event will be available for a limited time. After joining the event, players will battle in 4-player teams in Classic Mode (unranked) and can complete missions to earn a small amount of Season 14 ranking points, which will be converted into Season 14 season rating points after the update of Season 14.
