Realme X2 – F.22 OTA update fixes OTG, Camera, and brings August 2021 security patch

Realme has rolled out the Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 update for Realme X2 globally last month. The latest skin comes with some interesting features such as customizable AOD, three style dark mode, system cloner, and many more.

The company is providing a new F.22 OTA update for the device. The update bumps up the device’s security patch level to August 2021 and brings fixes an issue where you would be unable to use a double-ended USB-C cable to transfer files between two Realme X2 phones.

The RMX1991EX_11_F.22 or RMX1991AEX_11_F.22 also improves the stability of the Camera app and addresses the lagging issue that would occasionally occur in SLO-MO mode and videos could not be played when they are recorded at 960 fps using the camera with the screen locked.     • Integrates the July and August 2021 Android security patches.

    • Improves system stability and performance.

    • Fixes an issue where you would be unable to use a double-ended USB-C cable to transfer files between two realme X2 phones.

    • Fixes a lagging issue that would occasionally occur in SLO-MO mode.
    • Fixes an issue where SLO-MO videos could not be played when they are recorded at 960 fps using the camera with the screen locked.

Realme is rolling out the update in batches, therefore it may take some time for the OTA to reach all units. To check if the update is available for your device, navigate to Settings > System > System Updates.
