Other OEMs Should Bring Samsung’s Maintenance Mode To Its Phones

Samsung continues to test new features in its One UI version. With the One UI 5.0 update, Samsung brings a lot of new features and improvements compared to the previous version. Among the many features of One UI 5.0, Maintenance Mode is one. This should be included in other OEM UIs to protect your privacy when someone else uses your phone, such as when you’re sending it in for repair.

One UI 5.0 Maintenance Mode lets Galaxy users protect their privacy in case someone else uses your phone, such as when you’re sending it in for repair. So we can expect the OEM to bring Samsung’s maintenance mode to their phones.

Plus, the feature blocks access to your data for peace of mind when it’s out of sight. After enabling Maintenance Mode, your personal data, including pictures, messages, and accounts, cannot be accessed, and only preinstalled apps are available.

Currently, all the OEMs are bust with its upcoming UI version based on Android 14, so we can expect that they could bring Samsung’s Maintenance Mode to their smartphone to protect users’ privacy. Samsung’s Maintenance Mode is similar to the Second space having a folder space entirely away from the main phone’s storage and is protected by a password.
