Google’s May 2023 Security Update Brings Touch And UI Improvements

May 2023 is entering the first week, and hence Google, following the tradition, is rolling out the latest May 2023 security update for Pixel devices. These versions aim to improve the overall security aspects and bring new life to the gadget with simple yet valuable customizations.

Apart from minor fixes, the company is also busy rolling out beta iterations of Android 14 for eligible devices. Also, we may get official news of the stable Android 14 upgrade release anytime in the coming days.

The US tech giant has started rolling out a new security patch for Pixel devices. Latest software development based on Android 13 Surface with some improvements and fixes for the respective phones.

As per the information, the May 2023 security patch for Google Pixel devices fixes 18 security vulnerabilities in the device system (dated 2023-05-01). Let us tell you that all supported Pixel devices running on Android 13 will receive these software updates from today. Depending on carrier and machine, the rollout will continue in phases over the next week. Users will receive a notification once the OTA is available for their devices.

Apart from the mentioned refinements, the company has fixed two more issues related to the touch screen and system UI for Pixel 7 series devices.

According to the Google support page, this update improves touchscreen responsiveness in certain situations. In addition, the update also fixes an issue that sometimes caused lock screen UI elements to overlap with the home screen launcher interface.
