Meta-owned Instagram is one of the most popular and most visited social platforms worldwide. It does not even need any introduction. It permits users to upload their content, like photos and videos, which can be edited by filters and organized by hashtags associated with locations. The company provides all the possible convenient features for enhancing the user experience. But the only drawback with this platform is its UI for a bigger screen; fortunately, that is resolved now with its new update.
Instagram is getting a new UI for its more giant screens, for instance, Tablets or foldables. The users have been waiting for this new bigger screen’s UI for a long time. Previously, the brand introduced a redesigned UI for large screens but only for Fold 5, but now it is available to all more prominent display Android devices.
With this new layout, the brand introduces a fresh look, including Stories at the top of the UI below that feed expands quickly to either side of the display. Now, the navigation bar appears on the UI’s left side, consisting of the Home icon, Magnifying lens icon, Post add icon, Reels icon, Profile, Heart icon, and Message icon sequence. The notable change in this redesign UI is that Notification and DM options join the navigation bar with other options.
Apart from the home feed, the other noticeable change is in the reels section. New UI offers a fixed space for reels; only in that fixed ratio the revolution will be seen moving, whereas the rest of the place will still appear with a background. The options displayed while watching reels, for instance, comments, share, and three-dot menu options, take place on the right side of the UI, one below the other.
With this change, the Meta has been pushing for extra support for big screens. Now, the users will get more customization, enhancing the user experience even on the more significant screen devices.
