OnePlus has already confirmed its new update policy for its OnePlus devices. It is starting with the OnePlus 9 series and the OnePlus 8 series will now get three major Android OS updates and four years of security updates. This includes T-series and R models too.

OxygenOS remains the OS for global OnePlus users as always but is now built on a more stable and stronger platform. This will apply to new devices in the future, while for existing devices that are still within the maintenance schedule, it will occur via an OTA update along with Android 12.

    1. I mean, any OEM can do whatever they want when it comes to updates. They can literally just decide not to ever update any phone again, even if they promised they will.
That would be awful publicity for them, but anything is possible.

  1. I think one plus 7 series are still getting Android 12 ( at least it’s what’s on the road map from oneplus.)

But oneplus have abandoned their enthusiast costumer base so I guess they all of us should get of this company boat, I won’t be using any other oneplus after this one. ( I had 4 devices from them the 1,the 2, the 3 and the mclaren edition 7pro)

  2. Oneplus 9 EU, still does not have a full-fledged OOS 12, and on OOS 11 is the last patch from November. So what you’re writing is just misleading future consumer!
