These Six Xiaomi Devices Will Not Get Software Upgrade Any More

In Xiaomi, the “MI” stands for Mission Impossible, which says itself that the company will overcome all the impossible obstacles. China brand Xiaomi’s tech giant recently released news that they are dropping down some of the 6 Xiaomi devices in the EOS list. This indicates that the company will no longer provide any kind of software update or security patches to these 6 Xiaomi devices.

Unfortunately, the users of these 6 Xiaomi devices will not be able to get any Android OS updates, security patches, or Bug fixes in the future. So now, the company will not release any firmware updates, security vulnerabilities, or bug fixes for these devices.

The company released the EOS list for 6 Xiaomi devices, which are mentioned below:

  • Xiaomi Mi 10
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra
  • Redmi Note 9 Pro
  • Redmi 9C
  • Redmi Note 10 5G

For users with any of these devices, it is a matter of disappointment that now they will not get any Software upgrades from the company. So, if the owners of these devices want to experience more advanced features than available in these devices, they are recommended to prefer new models.

Well, there is nothing big or discriminatory in this because these devices are relatively older, and by fixing the scheme, period, or number of giving updates to them by the company, it has been completed, so they have received as many updates as they were supposed to get from the company.

Since new techniques and features come with new devices, the company matches their level according to them and comes out with updates one step ahead. Hence, it is natural that old devices cannot take more modern and advanced technology than their capacity.

The software update is essential for each and every device because they come up with new features, security vulnerabilities as well as bug fixes, which all helps in the improvement and betterment of the devices to enhance the user’s experience.
