Samsung Galaxy A51 5G picked up June 2022 security patch

As you know, Samsung is the company that has all the segment smartphones. Whether it is a featured phone, mid-range, or flagship. Samsung Galaxy A51 5G is one of the smartphones released in the year 2019. Galaxy A51 5G comes out of the box with an Android 10 and is upgradable up to Android 12 / One UI 4.1.

For information, Every month Samsung releases its security patch update. But this time Samsung is a little bit late. It has released a June 2022 security patch update in the month of July for the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G i.e. (A516BXXU5DVG4). At present, it is released in the Nordic and Slovakia country regions, and in a few weeks, it will be available for the other regions also.

With the latest July 2022 security patch, 41 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures were addressed. They concern aspects like Samsung Finder, Wearable Manager Installer, Contacts storage, the Messages app, Knoxguard lock, and more. You can find the complete list of fixes here.

Samsung security index (SSI), found in “Security software version”, SMR Jul-2022 Release 1, includes all patches from Samsung and Google. Some of the SVE items may not be included in this package in case these items were already included in a previous maintenance release.

If you want to download the update then you can follow the below steps:

  • Go to the Phone Setting 
  • Software update Menu 
  • Find out the latest update and update.

This patch does not include noticeable changes. However, this is a small update and Galaxy A51 5G will also receive a major update.
