The Reason Why OnePlus & OPPO Were Banned In Germany

OPPO and OnePlus are both leading brands in China and as well as in India. In India, OPPO is known for affordable and budget phones, and on the other hand, OnePlus is known for its flagship smartphones with high-end specifications. But this is about India and China.

But, what happened in Germany is why these companies’ devices are banned, and their future sales are stopped till further notice. In this article, we brought you all the details related to this information so that it may be helpful for you.

The reason behind this issue is that Nokia filed a complaint in court that both the companies had not paid some of the amounts for using the 5G license or patent Nokia and not paid anything to Nokia for the patent. Due to this, all deals and sales of both companies’ smartphones are banned in Germany until and unless the issue is not resolved. On this, OnePlus stated that OnePlus diligently complies with the laws and regulations in all markets where we operate. As a leading technology brand, we recognize the importance of intellectual property in driving innovation and highly value fair access to essential patents. Nokia’s demand for an unreasonably high fee is detrimental to this effect. We actively work with the relevant parties to resolve the ongoing legal matter. While sales and marketing of the relevant products are on hold, OnePlus remains committed to the German market and will continue its operations. Meanwhile, OnePlus users in Germany can continue to enjoy our products and related services such as regular software updates and our after-sales service as before.

The good news is, however, that OPPO is already given an assurance of providing updates to the device in Germany without any issue. It will continue to roll out the update as per the requirement and time if it is needed. Read more New leaks reveal OnePlus developing a new 1.5K flexible screen phone
