Google-owned Android brand captures approximately 88% of the total smartphone market. Presently, over 2 billion smartphones are using Google Android OS as their UI. Notably, the word “Android” belongs to a “Male Robot, “whereas a “Gynoid” word stands for female robot. Google is rebranding its Android brand with a renovated identity and rolling out bundles of Android apps and service updates. Android is updating its logo and robot head.
Makeover Android Logo; Entirely 3D
The brand introduced the robot head in 2019, and now, as per the news, it is being upgraded, by which it became a prominent fixture of the Android logo, reflecting the playfulness and the most recognizable non-living human member of the Android community with an entirely new 3D look. The brand Android will also be spelled with a capital “A.” Apart from the logo, many new features and improvements will arrive with the latest updates, including At a Glance Google Assistant widget, progress to Android’s Lookout visual accessibility app, Zoom calls in Android Auto, and many more.
What’s New
Android received the latest update by which many enhancements have arrived; for instance, the At a Glance widget gets a remodeled design and provides enough helpful information about the user’s events, travel, current weather, and many more. The Wallet also gets upgraded, by which it becomes more user-friendly to upload passes with barcodes and QR codes by adding a new image import feature.
The Lookout application, which offers descriptions of on-screen imagery for users suffering from low vision or blindness, will be able to describe scenarios more intelligently and answer follow-up questions. Now, jumping on Android Auto, with the update, it is adding support for joining Zoom and Webex calls, albeit audio-only.
