MediaTek has launched a new chipset, Dimensity 9300+. It comes with higher specifications than the Dimensity 9300. This new chip focuses on better on-device AI processing and developing large language models (LLM).
it is being speculated that it can be seen in the flagship model to be launched next year, the list of which is given below
MediaTek Dimensity 9300+
MediaTek claims the chip will come with an improved LLM, including Google’s Gemini Nano and Meta’s LIama 2 and 3. It will also give a rich ecosystem of on-device LoRA (Low-Rank Approximation) fusion technology and generative AI.
The Dimension 9300+ is capable of achieving high-speed operations, while MediaTek Meta’s LIama 2 7B model claims a speed of 22 tokens/second. It also claims to have low power consumption, which can reduce power consumption by up to 20%. It is considered better for specific gaming scenarios and network connectivity.
It also has a “Star Speed Engine” that improves connections. Regarding its clock speed, it has a high-performance Arm Cortex-X4 Core clocked at 3.4 GHz, three additional Cortex-X4 Cores clocked at 2.85 GHz, and four Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 2.0 GHz.
New Neuropilot technology has been used for AI processing. The APU 790 AI engine allows running LLMs with various parameter sizes from 1 billion to 33 billion. This parameter is considered double of all. The hardware ray tracing engine incorporated with the Arm Immortalis – G720 GPU is beneficial for gamers.
As for camera capabilities, it also includes Imagick 990 ISP and MiraVision 990 for better visual content processing. Moreover, it also includes a 5G R16 modem with support for sub-6GHz networks and downlink speeds of up to 7Gbps.
