Google has introduced a new monthly update bulletin for Pixel smartphones on the first Monday of every month, which mainly installs the December 2022 Android security patch for better device security.
The Google December 2022 Update for Pixel devices not only comes with functional enhancements but also fixes other system-related issues like Apps, Audio, Biometrics, Bluetooth, Camera, Framework, Sensors, battery, charging, display, graphics, and more.
Google has published a 2022-12-05 patch-level security update for all supported Google devices which run on the Android 13 operating system. This update brings lots of High CVEs, Moderate CVEs, and critical CVEs alongside several fixes for exploits related to specific hardware installations.
Moreover, the December 2022 security bulletin covering all 2022-11-05 or later addresses all issues and bugs that impact the device performance and come with Elevation of privilege (EoP) CVEs
The December 2022 update has reportedly started rolling out gradually for the Pixel 7 series, Pixel 6 series, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 4 series, and Google 4a series. Additionally, depending on the region and device, the latest update rollout will continue in batches over the next week. Also, the update is coming via OTA and will be showing up in your notification panel soon.
