OnePlus 11R debuted in the Indian and global markets earlier this month. The phone was a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 2, unveiled in China a few days back. On the other hand, the Dimension Edition variant of the OnePlus Ace 2 has been doing rounds of rumors for the past few days, which is likely to debut in the global market as a rebranded variant of the OnePlus Nord 3 handset.
If you don’t know, OnePlus sells devices generally sold as the Ace series in China with some design and software changes in the Global and Indian markets. Thus, the OnePlus Nord 3 will also be the rebranded version of one of the unreleased Ace series phones, i.e., the OnePlus Ace 2 5G, which will launch in March 2023 in China, suggested reports.
Meanwhile, this new variant of the OnePlus Ace 2 was recently teased by Li Ji, the president of OnePlus China. The latest variant of the OnePlus Ace 2 is expected to sport the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC as a rival to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip on the prime OnePlus Ace 2.
Now the question here is, why is the OnePlus Ace 2 Dimension Edition expected to be the Nord 3 model for global users? This is because rumors suggest that the specifications of both phones are similar. From the Dimensity 9000 chipset to 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, almost every segment is virtually identical in both devices.
On the other hand, well-known tipster Abhishek Yadav recently shared a post on Twitter stating that the OnePlus Ace 2, which is expected to be launched globally as the OnePlus Nord 3. Furthermore, he also shared an image that reveals the device in the Bashing Black color scheme, revealing the iconic camera design. The iconic camera design reveals that the phone will come with a triple camera setup with two circular camera rings.
