Recently, the much awaited Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Tab S9 series and many other exciting things were launched at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on 26th July. Meanwhile, one of the key leaks is that the One UI 6.0 beta update for the Galaxy S23 series is almost ready. Other devices can also enjoy the same privileges.
Samsung Galaxy S23 One UI 6.0:
Last week, Samsung has created an official forum section for the One UI 6.0 beta program for the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra reports Theordysm (via SamMobile). This new forum section is currently empty, but it is available on the company’s official forum in India and the US. This indicates that Samsung is almost ready to start the One UI 6.0 beta program for the Galaxy S23 series.
On the flip side, However, the One UI 6.0 beta plans for the Galaxy S23 have now been derailed as the beta version was withdrawn due to a bug. While this may frustrate some users, Samsung’s decision to not proceed with the problematic update is a wise one.
While the Android 14 beta is already available for top Android phones from other manufacturers like Google, OnePlus, Realme, OPPO, Xiaomi and Nothing. Samsung, on the other hand, has decided to prioritize the stability of its software.
Assuming things go well, it seems entirely possible that a public beta program for the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra could begin next week, followed by other flagship programs. If the beta program starts earlier this time (the One UI 5 beta started in September last year), it should also mean we might get the stable release earlier than usual – though we’ll have to wait and see on that.
Android 13 itself is still a work in progress — we’re excited for the release of beta 4, and we should get at least one more beta next month before the final version of Android 14 becomes stable. We’re certainly excited to see what Samsung has in store for the Android 14-based One UI 6.0, and all evidence is pointing to a shorter-than-usual wait for our first look.
