These Motorola Phones Will Get The First Major Update With Android 14

Google, after a long test, officially released the major Android 14 OS update for Pixel smartphones a couple of days ago. Google did its work, and now it’s the turn of other smartphone manufacturers to make the newest Android 14 upgrade available for their eligible smartphones. Here’s the list of Motorola smartphones getting Android 14 as their first major update. 

What’s New With Android 14 

Undoubtedly, Android 14 is a major OS upgrade, so it’s pretty obvious that it brings tons of amazing features and innovations per the users’ convenience for enhancing their flawless experience. The update brings battery life improvements, new accessibility tools, customizable lock screens, better support for Monochrome themes and many more you can explore through this Android 14 update. 

Motorola Policies Regarding To Software Updates 

Every brand has its own policies for software updates, according to which they deliver updates to their devices. Motorola also has its policy to usually provide two to three software upgrades to its flagship and mid-range devices.

Meanwhile, Motorola has not yet finished the Android 13 rollout, and Google is gearing up to announce the stable release of Android 14. In this scenario, devices that have already grabbed Android 13 would be looking forward to testing the next release. 

However, Motorola has not formally revealed when it will release the Android 14 update. 

Here’s The Motorola Device List Which Is Getting Their First Major Update As Android 14

Motorola will deliver an Android 14 OS update to its various lineups as its first major update. Four families are on the list: the Motorola Razr family, the Motorola Edge Family, the Motorola G Family, and the Motorola ThinkPhone Family. 

Motorola Razr Family:

  • Motorola Razr I (2023)
  • Motorola Razr (2023)

Motorola Edge Family:

  • Motorola Edge+ (2023)
  • Motorola Edge (2023)
  • Motorola Edge 40 Pro
  • Motorola Edge 40 Neo
  • Motorola Edge 40

Motorola G Family:

  • Moto g style 5G (2023)
  • Moto g 5G (2023)
  • Moto g style (2023)
  • Moto G Power 5G (2023)
  • Moto g84 5G
  • Moto g73 5G
  • Moto g53y 5G
  • Moto g53j 5G’

Motorola ThinkPhone Family:

  • ThinkPhone by Motorola

Noticeably, Motorola’s e-family, which has 9 members, is not eligible to get this Android 14 major OS update. Even the recently launched device Moto e13 is not eligible for this update. 

Google, while releasing the Android 14 update for Pixel phones, stated that;  “Android 14 is starting to roll out to supported Pixel devices today, and later this year will be available on more of your favourite devices from Samsung Galaxy, iQOO, Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Sharp, Sony, Tecno, Vivo and Xiaomi.”
