OnePlus Nord 2 Gets October 2023 Security Update

In July 2021, OnePlus introduced the Nord 2 device with Android 11 preinstalled, and as the company promised to deliver at least two Android updates, the device has already received all of them. Currently, it is running on Android 13, which is the last major update for the device. However, the device is still eligible to receive a new security update, so to keep its promise, the Chinese tech giant is rolling out the latest October 2023 security patch for the OnePlus Nord 2.

According to the information, the OnePlus Nord 2 is the latest and second OnePlus smartphone to receive the October 2023 Android security patch along with the new software update. This fresh update boosts your phone’s performance as well as upgrades some stock applications.

Apart from these, another aspect is that the October 2023 patch focuses on improving system security and stability. Also, it helps protect your phone from bugs and viruses and provides seamless functionality to users.

It is worth noting that the brand is releasing the OnePlus Nord 2 October 2023 update with OxygenOS build version DN2101_11_F.48. Although it is rolling out in India at the moment, it is expected to reach more users in the coming days or weeks.

Furthermore, OnePlus is currently working on an Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 update and if you are expecting this update for your OnePlus Nord 2, let me tell you that the device is not eligible for it. Recently, the company released the OxygenOS 14 update rollout plan for all OnePlus smartphones and tablets and it nowhere mentions the Nord 2.

In any case, you can check for the latest software update on your OnePlus smartphone through the Settings page. Once entered, go to the About device section and tap on the OxygenOS version, available updates will appear on the screen, and tap on the Download and Install option.
