HIGHLIGHTS

  • Now you can save a public account’s reel in the camera roll easily.
  • Noticeably the downloaded reel will include a watermark as the creator’s Instagram handle.

Instagram is back with a new feature that offers more power to the users for reels. Instagram is offering a new feature by which users have the ability to download any reel to their camera roll.

So now the users can easily save reels without copying links here and there. It is being speculated by a post on Instagram shared by Adam Mosseri which states.

“You can now save reels created by public accounts to your camera roll – any reel you download will include a watermark with the creator’s Instagram handle. We rolled this out in the US earlier this year, and now it’s available globally.”

By this statement, it is pretty clear that the users will now get the ability to download reels that are created by public accounts to their camera roll.

Noticeably the downloaded reel will include a watermark as the creator’s Instagram handle. However, this feature is not the latest because the brand has already rolled out this facility in the US, and now it is rolling out globally.

How To Download Instagram Reels

To download the Instagram reels, follow the steps mentioned here.

  • Simply, tap on the Share icon on a reel.
  • Then Choose Download.
  • You Done!

Also, this downloading option is only for public accounts, and also the creators can turn off the ability for people to download their reels, then no body can directly download the reel in the camera roll.

In the scenario, where the reel is not available to be downloaded, then the users can still tap the three dots and save it to watch it later within the application’s save folder.
