“Photo Stack,” a feature of Google Photos that debuted in November on iOS, is now coming to Android. With this function’s help, images taken shortly after one another are automatically arranged and shown as a single image in the Photos tab’s main grid.

The grouping is indicated by a number and icon in the thumbnail’s upper-right corner, which users will notice. When a stack is opened, a carousel of photographs appears. You can swipe through them to choose your favorite, eliminate particular images, or delete all except one.

Google makes use of AI to make it simple for users to toggle the “Stack similar photos” option. Users have the option to share or add a stack to albums with only a few things or the complete stack. Users can also choose to “unstack” a photo stack, which allows them to view individual photos in the main grid by long-pressing and choosing “Unstack photos.”

Although Photo Stacks was first released on iOS, it is now progressively making its way to Android, albeit widespread availability has not yet been attained.
