  • As it’s now widely available in the US market, Verizon users have started receiving the update.
  • The Android QPR2 update brings several noticeable changes, bug fixes, and other improvements.

A few weeks ago, Google shared that the company has been rolling out the latest Android 14 QPR2 stable update to several Pixel users in the US market, while now the company has made the Android 14 QPR2 OTA update widely available in the US, and Verizon customers have now begun getting the update.

Earlier, Google informed us that some of the Google Pixel users were already receiving the latest Android 14 QPR2 update with the same AP1A.240305.019.A1 version, which was the global build number instead of being specific to any carrier. With that, Verizon customers have started getting the Android 14 QPR2 update with the same global build number.

As the Android 14 QPR2 OTA update is widely available in the US market, it brings plenty of changes and upgrades within the Pixel phones, including the Pixel Weather lockscreen clock receiving an all-new icon for alarm or the Do Not Disturb, the Volume slider being updated and getting a new Material You design, the Microphone and Camera privacy indicators( the green dot) getting a new Close this App shortcut, and single app screen sharing while recording or casting.

On the flip side, the update brings several other changes: the Internet Quick Setting tile, the Bluetooth Quick Setting tile, and the Share Wi-Fi tile have been extended. The battery information has been removed from the Settings, while the App Info section receives a new Your Pixel is up-to-date screen, and the information regarding the package name will appear within the App Info page. In addition, the new Android 14 QPR2 update also brings some general bug fixes and improvements.
