It appears that Google Is Planning To Bring Google Wallet For Users In India

Google Wallet is a service that allows users to set up and add their payment cards and other loyalty passes for much more convenient yet secure payments. Until now, Google did not seem to be focused on introducing Google Wallet in India. Now, it seems like Google is planning to bring its Wallet service to Indian users.

In recent years, Google has made several significant changes regarding its online payment services. The most recent was the company’s announcement that GPay is discontinuing in the US region. With that, Google Wallet seems to be arriving in India, as Google launched the service but limited it to some selected regions only.

According to TechCrunch, while heading to the listings of Google Wallet on the Google Play Store, several big names specific to India appeared within the listings, including SBI (State Bank of India) and Air India, a popular cinema chain in India. However, seeing these few images within the Play Store listings can not be enough to prove such a big statement about Google Wallet arriving in India.

In addition, another source, Beebom, recently revealed that it was noticed that the Google Wallet has already started working for some users in India when the Wallet app is installed through the Play Store. Even a few cards worked, though the loyalty cards, as mentioned within the Play Store listings, still need to be functional.

A while ago, Google stated that Google Pay would continue to serve users residing in India and Singapore to offer functionalities to those regions. On the flip side, Google is planning to bring its Wallet service to India.
