Google To Bring New Google Wallet App Shortcut, Which will Allow You to Access Cards Directly From the Home screen

With the advancements in payment technologies, several online payment options have highly dominated the market, including the Google Wallet. The Google Wallet is very well integrated with certain Google services, which allows you to add all your credit and debit cards, loyalty cards, gift cards, and more of your IDs and information. Now, Google is taking a step further and has begun rolling out support for app shortcuts that will allow users to place all their credit and debit cards on their home screen.

Google Wallet app shortcut will allow you to directly access your cards from the home screen

Google is currently on its way to taking the most significant step towards making its Google Wallet app’s debit and credit cards easily accessible directly from the home screen. The company has already begun rolling out a new capability that will show up on all your stored credit and debit cards the moment you long-press on the Google Wallet application directly from your phone’s home screen.

With the new update, on the home screen, you will get to see a picture of your credit or debit card along with the last four digits of your card when you long press on the Google Wallet app icon. In order to make it a permanent icon on your home screen, you need to drag it to any location. This provides a one-tap access to the card and allows the chosen card to open up with a bigger view along with a list of “Recent activity”.

Moreover, Google has not rolled out the new Google Wallet app shortcut widely, but it’s spotted with the Google Wallet, having version 24.12.x through server-side loading. However, you need to make sure that your Google Play Services is running on the latest version with 24.10.17 version number, as the application has seen several changes in the meantime.
