Is Vivo T3x 5G Waterproof?

Several Android smartphone manufacturers have been implementing an IP rating within their devices, which has now become a worldwide trend. Although an IP rating is considered the most underrated aspect of a smartphone, it’s always better to check the water-repellent properties of the device. Unlike other brands, Vivo has also infused the water repellent properties within its newly launched phone, the Vivo T3x 5G. With that, if you are wondering about the water-repellent properties of this new device, here are the details about the T3x 5G being waterproof or not.

The water repellent properties are denoted by an IP rating or the Ingress Protection ratings, which are provided to a smartphone when it’s been tested against two types of ingress, solid and liquid, respectively. Moreover, the IP rating also consists of two digits. The first digit is for solid ingress, which is sand particles, while the second digit is for liquid ingress, which is water.

Although the first digit in an IP rating ranges from 0 to 6, while the second digit goes maximum from 0 to 8, Vivo has offered an IP64 rating to the latest Vivo T3x 5G device, where the first digit is 6. This signifies that the phone is capable of handling the entry of fine dust particles, causing no harm to the device.

On the flip side, the second digit of the IP rating of the T3x device is 4, which is not an adequate measure for being a waterproof device. Hence, the latest Vivo T3x 5G is simply a water resistant device but not waterproof. Therefore, with the IP64 above ratings, it’s clear that the Vivo T3x 5G is just dust and water-resistant. The phone is built to withstand water splashes, allowing you to enjoy your adventures worry-free.
