How Many Software Updates Galaxy F55 5G Will Get?

Samsung plans to significantly expand its Galaxy F portfolio while also preparing to launch a brand-new device within its F lineup, the Galaxy F55. It was scheduled to launch on 17th May but has now been postponed to 27th May 2024. Meanwhile, all Samsung enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the new Galaxy F55 to be launched; well, if you are one of them, having the correct knowledge of how many software updates the device will get would be a great idea. 

Galaxy F55 5G Software Update Policy

Among several other Android partners, Samsung has created an incredible standard by introducing long-term updates. The brand has significantly upgraded its software update policy. It has declared that its flagship Galaxy models will receive seven massive generations of Major OS updates and seven years of commitment to Android security patch updates. 

The mid-range phones are offered four and five years of software update commitment, while the newest Galaxy F55 also falls into this category and is promised Four Major OS updates and five years of security updates.  

Although Samsung will soon launch its newest Galaxy F55 with Android 14-based One UI 6.1 build, the phone is committed to receiving Four generations of major OS updates until Android 18, and the phone is eligible to receive its Five years of security updates until 2029, respectively.
