BGIS 2021 The Grind: Official start date, teams, how to participate, and more

BGIS 2021 is going to be one of the biggest online esports tournaments that BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India) will ever host. A few days back, fans got a slight hint regarding the list of invitees for the tournament in BGMI’s recent chatshow, ‘Chai Time’.

However, today, a few minutes back, BGMI published the official start date of BGIS 2021 The Grind. This article shares everything that players need to know regarding the tournament that is going to host popular names like ScoutOP, Mortal, etc.

BGIS 2021 The Grind official start date revealed

BGIS 2021 The Grind, which is open to all BGMI players, will start its journey on December 2, 2021. The tournament will be a two-week-long process, during which it will filter out only the top qualifying teams.

The top teams will play the finals and the winner shall get The Grind trophy as well as handsome prize money. As stated by the developers in their latest post:

“Even the top teams have to prove what they got. Get ready for the biggest tournament, filled with epic action, sneaky plays, and breathtaking moments. Thirty-two invited teams will battle it out to see if they have what it takes to compete in iQOO BGIS 2021. The action begins on 2nd December. “

Schedule & Format

The 32 invited teams will be divided into four groups and will compete in a two-week round-robin style. Week 1 will be held from December 2 to 5, while Week 2 will be conducted from December 9 to 12. In the forthcoming two-week tournament, the teams will compete for a total of eight days.

Along with the Grind, authorities published the schedule for the three rounds of the BGIS Online Qualifiers. The timetable is as follows:

Round 1 (November 16 to 19): 1024 teams will compete and 512 teams will qualify. Each team will get to play two matches.

Round 2 (November 21 to 24): 512 teams will compete and 224 teams will qualify. Each team will get to play two matches.

Round 3 (November 27 to 30): 256 (224 qualified and 32 invited) will compete and 64 teams will qualify for the Quarter Finals. Each team will get to play three matches.

Players are all excited and hyped up to see the fight as they themselves join the action in iQOO’s BGIS 2021 tournament, ‘The Grind’.

Unfortunately, players who haven’t registered yet with their teams cannot register further as the registration process has been closed on November 28, 2021. There are no alternate ways to enroll in the tournament now.
