The Day 1 semi-finals of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS): 2021 have just ended. Today, 24 qualified teams from the quarter-finals battled it out for 16 spots in the tournament’s final round.
The final winner of BGIS 2021 will be the Indian representative at the PMGC (PUBG Mobile Global Championship) 2021 Grand Finals.

Semi-finals BGIS 2021: Match summary and overall standings
Today, the teams were divided into three groups (A, B, & C) and were competing in a round-robin format. Each team in the semi-finals would play 16 matches which will be held over four days.
Overall, 24 matches will be played in the semi-finals, with six each day. The semi-finals will end on 10 January 2022.
The matches that were played as per each group are as follows:
Match 1 – Group A vs Group B – Erangel
Match 2 – Group B vs Group C – Miramar
Match 3 – Group A vs Group C – Erangel
Match 4 – Group A vs Group C – Sanhok
Match 5 – Group A vs Group B – Miramar
Match 6 – Group B vs Group C – Erangel
The matches surely gave goosebumps to fans as several professional, as well as underdog teams, were constantly going up and down the points table.

However, Skylightz Gaming topped the overall standing points table with a total point of 58. OR Esports too clung to the topmost position with 58 points, however, fell short of the position points.

Where, much lesser-known teams like R Esports and Skylightz Gaming topped the points table, fan-favorite teams like SouL, to the despair of the fans, got 20th place.
But, there are three more days left to this amazing series of semi-final matches. Fans just have to wait and watch to see which of the top 16 teams will qualify for BGIS 2021 Grand Finals.
