WhatsApp is offering a new menu for switching between audio and video message modes. The company kicked out this feature in the beta stage and it still is in the developing stage. The update has arrived with its own identification build number which is v23.21.1.71. For now, the company makes this update only available for some of the lucky beta testers, and soon will be widely available to all.
Exactly How The New Menu To Switch Between Audio And Video Message Mode Will Work
Currently, the users have a dedicated menu for recording audio messages and video messages. For sending audio messages the users have to tap on the microphone icon, also while tapping on the microphone icon if the users swipe up then a lock icon will appear which helps in recording the audio message hand-free. And for sending video messages they have to tap on the camera icon which allows them to record their video and send it.
Now with the new update, the company is offering a new menu that offers both the options; audio and video together, and permits the users to switch between both modes. The new menu will become visible whenever the users tap either the microphone or camera icon. The menu will offer users the option to choose between audio and video message modes.
WhatsApp has introduced this menu just to simplify the selection process. As opposed to an automatic switch, it delivers a clear advantage for users’ controlling power and flexibility. Now the users are instantly able to send video messages or voice messages. Also now they don’t have to do extra taps.
However, as mentioned above for now the company rolled out this update for iOS devices and it is in the beta stage and only open to some of the beta testers. Interested ones can download it from the TestFlight app. Soon the company will make this update available to all.
