OnePlus Is Delaying The Launch Of Its First Foldable To Focus On The Display Section

OnePlus is set to launch several new devices; It is already being told that the company will launch its first foldable device in August 2023 and is also preparing its OnePlus 12 and Nord 4 in February 2024. But new information suggests that the company made last-minute changes to display hardware, which could delay the OnePlus Open launch.

A well-known tipster named @MaxJmb recently revealed some important details about the upcoming flagship Foldable phone. He revealed that OnePlus is working on the screen section of the OnePlus Open device, which could be the reason behind the delay in launching its first foldable phone.

He says that the OnePlus Open could be pushed to a later date instead of the end of August 2023, which has yet to be disclosed. However, this is just a rumor that we cannot completely trust. OnePlus’ plans are subject to change at any time.

OnePlus Open launch delay, due to screen change:

Notably, the delay is reportedly due to a change in plans related to the phone’s display. According to information, similar to other flagships, the OnePlus Open was originally supposed to use a BOE panel. Still, for reasons unknown, Samsung may be the new manufacturer of the Plus display.

OnePlus Open Specification:

The OnePlus Open is rumored to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. It will no longer feature the same BOE display, but the size and other display specifications will likely remain the same. For the main display, you’ll see a large 7.8-inch 2K foldable AMOLED display and a 6.3-inch AMOLED panel on the cover screen.
