Samsung repeats the same story every year: a new generation of the Galaxy S family arrives at the beginning of the year, to mark the start of a new generation of flagships and, in a way, lay the foundation for what we can expect next.
This year Samsung brings three phones under the new Galaxy S22 series which, on paper, promise to be the most mature in a long time. His presentation left us with great news, such as the extension of the support period to four years. However, some details that might have been missed by most were also announced. Let’s see them all.

Recycled materials
Samsung announced in the days before the presentation of the Galaxy S22, that its new models would be the most sustainable to date, by using recycled materials such as fishing nets to shape the body of its devices.
But, after its launch, we saw that the three devices are built-in aluminum and glass, two materials that Samsung has already used in previous generations of the family.
And it is that, in reality, said material has been used to build some specific elements of the design, such as the interior part of the volume and on/off buttons, the interior cover of the S Pen in the Galaxy S22 Ultra, or the module where the loudspeaker is housed.
Collab with third-party apps for Camera features
For the first time, Samsung has made the new camera features of the Galaxy S22 compatible with third-party apps, such as TikTok, Snapchat, or Instagram. This integration brings great news for heavy users of social networks, as it implies that they will be able to use functions such as the renewed “night mode”, “Super HDR” or video portrait mode on Instagram, TikTok, and Instagram.
Exclusive colors
Those who decide to buy a Samsung Galaxy S22 or Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra through the official Samsung online store will be able to choose from a series of exclusive colors that will not be available anywhere else. These colors are Sky Blue, Red, and Graphite for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, and Cream, Violet, Blue, and Graphite for the Galaxy S22 and S22+.
Portrait mode now works with pets
Samsung has improved the portrait mode included in the cameras of the Galaxy S22. Now, said mode is capable of identifying animal faces to generate a background blur effect. This is how the company explains its operation:
