Realme 8 5G and Narzo 30 5G receiving January 2022 security update

Realme’s security patch scheduled for January has already begun rolling out, albeit a few days early, to the Realme 8 5G and Narzo 30 5G. Realme is known for being the early bird when it comes to bringing monthly updates to its devices, and this one is no exception.

As per the latest report, the update is rolling out to the Realme 8 5G and Narzo 30 5G in India. This new patch is a bit of a heftier download than usual, coming in at between 300MB and 600MB. Some of those who have already received the update to their device have reported on community that their contact search has suddenly improved and overall performance has increased.

Apart from the January 2022 security update, is made up of improvements towards enhanced security and device stability. We still don’t know the specifics of what those improvements entail, although Realme has published that information on the official changelog.

There are different firmware versions to the January 2022 patch for the Realme 8 5G and Narzo 30 5G. The firmware version for the Realme 8 5G models is RMX3241_11_A.13, while the Narzo 30 5G models will receive the RMX3242_11_A.13 version.
