Assistant with Bard: Here’s How Google Shortens Bard’s UI for Android

  • Google developed Bard, a collaborative AI tool.
  •  We have translated Bard.google.com to a mobile UI.
  • The users can still say ‘Hey Google’ for a hands-free experience.

Google developed Bard, a collaborative AI tool, and has now translated bard.google.com into a mobile UI. The recent reports state that upon activating Assistant with Bard. Not only this, but Google also explains how:

“You can still say ‘Hey Google’ to get hands-free help. I’m learning some classic Assistant features, but I know lots already.’

By this statement, it is pretty clear that the users can still say ‘Hey Google’ for a hands-free experience. This is being speculated by a post on X, formerly Twitter, shared by Dylan Roussel upon activating Assistant with Bard.

While triggering Assistant with Bard, the users will appear in a floating bottom panel, which leads them to “Type, talk, or share a photo.” It’s available in both dark as well as light themes. That corresponds to a pill-shaped container containing the three buttons. Then clicking on the top-right corner button opens a full-screen homepage filled with recommendations, which is the same as bard.google.com.

Below the recommendations, the users will be asked,What’s on your mind?’ new chat field that can be expanded. Whereas on the opposite side, at the top-left corner, a button will appear for “Chats,” which holds the recent and historical information on the web version, which exists as a side panel.

Then, on the right-most screenshot above, the users will see what a full-screen conversation seems like after attaching a media file such as an image or screenshot: ‘Add this screen’  for review, which is noticeable as a key advantage of AWB’s system-level access.

Each response of Bard is followed by a thumbs up or down, the Google/Double-Check response button, Share and Export, Copy, and Modify responses. Apart from this, there’s also another way for the users to activate Assistant with Bard. Users can easily activate Assistant with Bard through another simple shortcut directly from the home screen. Clicking on the account avatar permits the users to access key settings, such as bar activity, extensions, and updates.

Assistant with Bard Settings consists of various initiatives such as public links, languages, using location from the device, and quick phrases. Screen context, classic assistance features, and assistant version. Also, the company ends the conversation by explaining the difference, for instance:

  • Assistance with the Bard—an AI-powered assistant of Google with Bard—will help the users get creative inspiration and be more productive; however, this is for the experimental version.
  • Google Assistant: Google Assistance will help the users get things done, and this is for the classic version.

The catchable fact is that users are permitted to disable “Use classic assistant features with an on/off toggle.
