NothingOS 1.1.0 Update For Phone 1 With July Security Patches, Camera Improvements

Nothing Phone (1) received its second software update. This is build 1.1.0 of Nothing OS, the Android-based user interface developed at Nothing. The latest update brings Android July 2022 security patch and major improvements.

New features – Introduced Tesla experimental control functions. – Introduced the experimental widget of the NFT Gallery. – Introduction of the search bar on the optional main screen.

Camera improvements – Glyph LED animations are available in Portrait mode. – Improved lightness and reduced noise when shooting in low-light environments. – Improved dynamic range when shooting in low-light environments. – Better photo sharpness when using the ultra wide-angle camera. – Improved color uniformity between main and ultra-wide sensors.

Bug fixes and performance optimizations – Android security patches updated in July 2022. – Fixed a lock screen bug that sometimes hid the fingerprint icon. – Improved the reliability of the Glyph interface. – Optimize battery life when the device is on standby. – Improved face unlocking performance. – General bug fixes.

So there seems to be no trace of any attempts to fix the heavy display issues that emerged after the first units of the device were shipped, mainly for units sold in India. The update just described is currently being distributed via OTA globally.
