But turns out, they would not! Oppo has finally started rolling out the latest security update now.
The latest update comes with the Android 2019 November security patch and improves system performance and enhanced system stability.

The latest update comes with the build number A9_11_A.19 for OPPO A9 and A5_11_A.19 for OPPO A5. The size may vary based on whether or not you installed the last iteration. Apart from bumping up the security patches to November, the new update also brings some tiny improvements to A9 & A5 devices.
