ColorOS 14 May Introduce Dynamic Island-Style Alert Similar To iPhone

Oppo has already rolled out the Android 14-based ColorOS 14 beta update to its various devices, along with many new features and improvements for enhancing the user’s experience. Now, the new information indicates that the OEM will become more similar to iOS 17 in its future major upgrade. Also, according to reports, its latest beta has integrated Dynamic Island-style animations.

This may not be the only iPhone-like software tweak within the latest ColorOS 14 UI. According to the well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the brand Oppo is working on the first version of Android 14-based ColorOS. The tipster also stated that a few new shots of smartphone displays are of the new UI’s newest private beta.

They include a new alert style likely based on Apple’s Dynamic Island. However, Oppo may attach pretty different ways, the most notable fact of which appears to be that the notification “Capsules” are in black; on the other hand, iOS 17 has white.

What Is Dynamic Island

Dynamic Island refers to the new pill-shaped area on the iPhone that not only has camera hardware but also offers a shape-changing hub for key iPhone alerts or, one can say notifications. It can also change shape and size to show alerts and notifications. Apple has used iOS to turn this into an area where users can interact to see notifications, control music, and many more.

This feature is only available on iPhone, but as per the reports, Oppo will also offer the same feature to its device soon in the future. Meanwhile, Oppo’s leaked take on the Dynamic Island may be more isolated and unique, for it can be set spread out from corner-mounted punch-holes instead of centrally mounted pills. According to the revelation of DCS, it is expected that ColorOS 14 may support its version of Contact Posters, which can even work with the cover display of the Find N2 Flip device.
