OPPO Reno 4 pro receiving September 2020 Android security update and become the first phone

Oppo has launched Reno 4 Pro in the Global market. The mobile is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon SDM720G octa-core processor 2.3GHz, Adreno 618 GPU with Android v10 based on Color OS 7.2 operating system.

When buying a new smartphone, a theme that is certainly close to the heart is that of updates by the brand as well as those related to the safety of the device through an injection of patches released by Google itself. Among the brands that are providing evidence of attention to this theme, we find OPPO which recently provided for the release of an update relating to its glorious Reno 4 Pro, effectively updating the security patches in September 2020, even before the Google Pixel series smartphones.

Oppo Reno 4 Pro is, in fact, the first smartphone to receive the September 2020 patches on ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10, becoming the reference point for monthly updates on tech security. The update is already available in Italy and can be downloaded via OTA, which if you have not yet received it, you can try to force by manually searching for the update through the appropriate section in the update menu.

Furthermore, the changelog does not report any other mention to particular changes and/or additions, except for the Camera and system improvement as well as security patches of September 2020. The version of the firmware is the CPH2109_11_A.17 and will continue to reach the Oppo Reno 4 Pro marketed on the Indian market.
