The latest lineup consists of the Pulse trio, including the HMD Pulse, Pulse+, and Pulse Pro. All these models have arrived with impressive features and specifications even though they are in the category. Meanwhile, you may be wondering about buying either of the abovementioned smartphones. In that case, it’s important to note how many software updates the latest lineup will get, as software updates are integral in keeping the phone’s UI refreshed.
It’s the first time HMD introduced a full-fledged smartphone lineup under the HMD brand. In contrast, unlike other smartphone brands, HMD has also committed to a dedicated software update commitment for its latest HMD Pulse series. Other brands significantly follow their software update policy and offer updates according to it.
However, it’s disappointing that HMD offers minimum software updates to its devices while several other Android smartphone manufacturers have significantly upgraded their software update policy and are already offering increased software updates. Well, HMD has offered a bare minimum of updates to its newly launched HMD Pulse series. The brand has stated that the latest HMD Pulse series is committed to getting two generations of software updates and three years of security patch updates.
Since the models have arrived with Android 14 out of the box, the new HMD Pulse lineup will receive its two generations of software updates until Android 16, while the series will get three years of security patch updates until 2028.
